[imp. & p. p. {Reckoned}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Reckoning}.] [OE. rekenen, AS. gerecenian to explain; akin to D. rekenen to reckon, G. rechnen, OHG. rahnjan), and to E. reck, rake an implement; the original sense probably being, to bring together, count together.
